If you're looking to uncover the hidden gems of Edinburgh, I'm happy to guide you with my local expertise. Smartphones are welcome, although the Photography Tuition experience is primarily designed for photographers using DSLR or Mirrorless Cameras.

Edinburgh Photo Shoot
Perfect for all ages, groups, solo travellers and families.
Simon will meet you in the centre of town in the Grassmarket where we will head to our first location in the shadow of the magnificent Castle. From there we will head to another 3 locations picked specifically for you depending on what is going on in town - we have a thriving festival and lots of filming going on depending on the time of year so are quite flexible, but no matter where we are, the city as a backdrop makes for some incredible sights.
My photos are unique and stand out. I love meeting new people & showing them around our unique & characterful city. I hope that you feel you have made a new friend as well as taking home some amazing images!
Photoshoots last one hour typically and on completion of the shoot, I will deliver a minimum of 35 high resolution edited jpeg images, delivered within 48 hours via a web link for you to download.
Edinburgh Cityscape Photography Tour
Learning manual mode photography in a fun and relaxed manner.
We'll meet in the centre of Edinburgh at the Grassmarket where we'll say a quick hello and jump right in. I'll explain a little about the settings on your camera so that you'll hit the ground running and get some great photographs of this amazing city.
From the Grassmarket we'll move on to get photographs of the incredible Edinburgh Castle, The Royal Mile and some of the hidden gems Edinburgh’s Old Town has to offer. You'll get a good walk, but most importantly some great photographs and the skills to start developing your own style.
Aimed at enthusiastic beginners with DSLRs or smartphones. A great way to find the best photography hotspots with a friendly and professional local!
